What insurance do movers need?

Liability for your trucks, cargo coverage for customers’ goods in transit and, if you store goods, coverage for them while they’re in your care.

Are customers’ belongings covered in storage?

Only with coverage written for storage, often called warehouse legal liability. Your cargo policy covers goods while they’re on the truck.

Do I need this if I’m not a moving company?

Possibly. If your business stores other people’s goods, some of these coverages apply to you too.
